Bhojraj Eye Hospital, Silvassa

The 100-bed Bhojraj eye hospital was inaugurated on 30th January 2007. Located in the industrial belt of Silvassa, this hospital caters to the tribal areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Daman and performs 10,000 surgeries annually. The hospital is funded by Mr. Madhu Chanrai through Seth Bhojraj Hassomal Charitable Trust. Mr. Chanrai is also a donor and trustee of Mission for Vision. In an effort to make Bhojraj Eye Hospital a Comprehensive Eye care and Ophthalmic Training Institute in the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, a tripartite agreement has been entered into between Bhojraj Chanrai Trust, MFV and the Sankara Eye Care Institutions (SECI) whereby SECI is now responsible for the day-to-day management of the hospital with monitoring support from MFV.
