Our History so far

MFV started the journey with one hospital, performing 600 surgeries annually.
Our dream is to have a hospital in every state of India, and help cure our nation of curable blindness.
By the end of 2011-12 MFV will partner with 14 hospitals facilitating 1,83,000 free eye surgeries annually.

This journey over 19 years has been extremely fulfilling as more than 1 million people have received the gift of vision. As Mission for Vision begins the 20th year of operations, we want to dream again, a dream of becoming the largest eye care partnership in the world. Our Vision 2020 is to partner with 25 eye hospitals in 20 States of India, which will have a capacity to perform 5,00,000 free eye surgeries annually.
