Process

Screening of patients by  trained medical staff in rural communities.
Transportation of patients to base hospitals.
Comprehensive ophthalmic and medical examination conducted prior to surgery.
Surgery performed in hospitals equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and manned by highly skilled surgeons practicing the latest surgery techniques.
The operated patients are kept under observation in the hospitals for at least 24hrs post surgery. They are provided with three meals and compassionate stay at the hospital.
At the time of discharge, the patients are examined, counseled on eye care and transported back to their villages.
At least two post operative checkup is conducted within 6 weeks in the community. The elaborate post-operative follow up program ensures that every patient has access to the hospital at all times.
This entire process of identification of patients in the villages till the post-operative follow up is provided absolutely free to the patients.
